Alan Cross has been in love with photography since his first camera at the age of fourteen. After graduation, a career in television afforded occasional opportunities to 'shoot the stars', and he even started his own photographic club back in the 80s. Since then he has been a leading light in the Windsor Photographic Society, serving on its committee for around two decades. Since leaving television in the early 90s, Alan has set up his own business providing photographic restoration services, bespoke web sites (with a strong photographic flavour), and fine art printing for artists.

Commissioned photographic work in recent years has included a portrait shoot for the dust jacket of a novel in America and the UK, another for a major European manufacturer, and marketing material for companies here and abroad. But the majority of his original photography is for personal pleasure.

Alan has won many photographic awards at club level, and has had work accepted for several exhibitions. His prints have been displayed both here and in America, and have been sought by both collectors and business customers.

Alan acquired his Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2004.

In 2007, Alan was instrumental in forming the group of photographers now known as PhotoAssociates, and is naturally one of its founder members.
